Sea Breeze Limited Warranty

Sea Breeze equipment is covered by a limited warranty that begins on the date of installation (“Warranty Effective Date”). Warranty coverage varies by product series and by application type (residential vs. commercial). A “commercial application” includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, retail, offices, and similar business use.

Warranty Coverage by Product

Sea Breeze 21 Series Single Zone

• Parts: 2 years

• Compressor: 7 years

Sea Breeze+ 25 Series Single and Multi Zone

• Parts: 10 years

• Compressor: 10 years

Sea Breeze+ 25 Series Light Commercial Units

• Parts: 10 years

• Compressor: 10 years

Sea Breeze PTAC and Through-The-Wall Units

• Parts: 1 year

• Compressor: 5 years

Commercial Application Rule for Sea Breeze Plus

Except for the 25 Series Commercial Units (part numbers listed below)*, any 25 Series Sea Breeze Plus installed in a commercial application reverts to:

• Parts: 5 years

• Compressor: 7 years

Exclusions to Coverage

This limited warranty does not apply to failures, damage, or performance issues resulting from:

Improper Installation or Use

Including installation by unauthorized or unlicensed personnel, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use in unfinished structures.

Environmental Conditions

Operation in corrosive, wet, or contaminated environments (e.g., those with chlorine, fluorine, VOCs, or saltwater exposure), or areas with poor ventilation or air quality.

System Misconfiguration

Including mismatched components, incorrect sizing, or improper airflow management.

Neglect or Lack of Maintenance

Including failure to perform routine maintenance such as air filter cleaning or following prescribed service intervals.

Tampering or Unauthorized Modification

Including altered or removed serial numbers, product misuse, or operation outside of stated design intent.

External or Uncontrollable Events

Including power surges, lightning, freight damage, pest intrusion, and other force majeure events.

Thermal Zone Inverter Ducted Limited Warranty

Thermal Zone Inverter Ducted systems are backed by a limited warranty designed to support long-term performance and reliability in both residential and commercial applications.

Residential Applications

• 10-Year Limited Parts 
• 10-Year Limited Compressor & Coil 

Coverage is valid from the date of original installation in the United States or Canada, with timely registration, when installed and operated in accordance with the product’s installation and operation manuals.

Commercial Applications

For commercial or non-residential use (including, but not limited to, retail, office, and other business environments):

• 5-Year Limited Compressor & Coil
• 1-Year Limited Parts 

What’s Covered

International Refrigeration Products warrants that the Thermal Zone Inverter Ducted system will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service during the applicable warranty period. If a defect is identified, International Refrigeration Products will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective component.

What’s Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover labor, refrigerant, or shipping costs, including installation, diagnosis, removal, reinstallation, freight, or handling charges. It also does not cover routine maintenance items such as air filters, cosmetic damage, or failures resulting from improper installation, misuse, or unauthorized service.

Including altered or removed serial numbers, product misuse, or operation outside of stated design intent.

External or Uncontrollable Events
Including power surges, lightning, freight damage, pest intrusion, and other force majeure conditions.

Non-Transferable
This warranty applies only to the original installation and is not transferable to a new owner or a new location.

Additional Terms

Warranty applies only to systems installed and operated within the conditions outlined in the installation and operation manuals. Proof of installation date may be required to validate coverage. Replacement parts may be new or functionally equivalent.

Important Note

This limited warranty covers parts and compressor only. Labor, refrigerant, and shipping are not included.
